August 28th, 2008Caity’s 1st birthday party
Warning: excessive number of photos!
Here are some photos from Caity’s birthday yesterday. Whew!

Opening her gift from Babi (grandma) as her dog friend looks on and then giving her grateful happy smile.

Caity with her guests. Adults outnumbered the kids!

“Thank God they finally let me eat! I’m so hungry already!”
August 27th, 2008Happy 1st birthday Caity!
Caity’s birthday started quite early than her ordinary days. We attended the 8 am Mass. Since it’s the feast day of St. Monica (the mother of St. Augustine), the priest said that the Mass celebration is dedicated to all the mothers who sacrificed and prayed for their children. He further said that their prayers might not be answered immediately (in case of St. Monica, her prayers were answered after 18 years) … So today is for both of us, mother and child.
Thank you Lord for this special day!

Walking out from the church. Caity obviously still looks sleepy.
August 25th, 2008Caity’s choice of book
Kids’ books have big colorful images to attract their attention and entice them to love reading books. But that doesn’t seem to work on the little girl. She dumped her Book of Shapes and Colors and repeatedly grab what her auntie was reading. In the end, she won!
She’s very engrossed flipping the pages of the book:

“I wonder what’s this book all about?”

“Aha! Now I know what to do when I want something. I’ll use the Power of Positive Thinking!”

“This is more fun to read than my Book of Shapes and Colors book and I can even apply it to my life. Just you wait!”
The book: The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale

August 12th, 2008Caity’s got a notebook
In our small home office, our computers/notebooks are placed beside each other. Whenever we (me, my sister who’s currently visiting us from the Philippines and M, my husband) are at work together at the same time, we look like a scene in an office or an internet cafe; seriously pounding on the keys and intently looking at our respective monitors. Caity is probably bored seeing just our backs all the time.
So on Friday, when her dad brought home his office notebook, Caity was very happy that she’s got her own computer too! She doesn’t have to wrestle with any of us just so she can tap on the keys of the computer.
Still with messy hair from sleep, she immediately went to the extra notebook which was placed on top of the plastic box where her toys are kept; just the right height for her!

Is this for me?
Let’s show everyone that happy Caity smile baby!

Yehey! I’ve got a notebook!
A closer look showing that happy smile:

August 10th, 2008I’m happy Caity!

I’m a happy, bubbly and active little girl and this is my playground in the internet.
I hope you’ll enjoy hanging out here as much as I do! :)
