Somebody can’t get over the fact that Caity is finally walking. I’ve been bugged to take videos of Caity. Last night, the little girl seemed to be having fun walking around the room on her own while her dad was busy installing programs. We didn’t even have to coax her to walk! Cool! It was amusing to watch her coz she sometimes lose balance but she manages to walk on like a drunk! Anyway, by popular demand, here’s a video of Caity walking:
Caity knows how to drink from the glass as early as 6 months old but somebody else always holds it for her. Its only this week that she’s practicing holding the glass by herself. She’ll soon get the hang of it!
Happy Caity supports the “Child Welfare EC Contest“. By spreading this word around the blogosphere, let’s hope it will increase awareness on the sad plight of Filipino children and hopefully the politicians may do something GOOD for the benefit the Filipino children.
Read below for the full text about the cause and the contest mechanics/prizes:
More than a decade ago, the government adopted a Philippine Plan of Action for Children in order to realize a child-sensitive society. Congress recognized children as a basic sector distinct from youth and students.
There are numerous laws and programs that promote the welfare of children. But children remain the most vulnerable sector in Philippine society. They are the most affected during natural and man-made calamities. About 43.3 percent of the country’s population are children.
More than 4 million families are subsisting below the poverty line. Almost 10 million children are undernourished. Most children are suffering from micronutrient malnutrition. Only 33 percent of children are enrolled in daycare and preschool institutions in the country. More than 1 million children of elementary school age are not enrolled.
This is the reason why a couple of Filipino bloggers are encouraging politicians to promote child-friendly governance in all areas.
Spreading the word about the true state of Filipino children in the blogosphere is one way of raising awareness and solicit support. By holding a contest such as this one, will also make it more rewarding for bloggers to join the movement. The contest officially start today (25 September 2008) and will run for a month. Look who wants to dance with Caity? It’s Ori the black poodle!
Little Caity visited her Baba (grandma) last night where she happily showed off her dance moves. Ori wants to join the fun too, but it seems Caity doesn’t want him to. You can see she’s shoving him off! Poor doggie!
Yeah! No matter what and in any kind of position. Just let her dance.
This was last Sunday night, the radio was blaring loud with danceable music. What’s a little happy girl gonna do? DANCE!
The part where she stopped and looked was when I passed by the room. She quickly crawled towards meee! Sorry for the disturbance! I didn’t know the daddy was recording her action.
Reading and dancing at the same time, why not?
Ooooohhh, she’s got a funny attire. Ballerina wannabe? Hehehe
