September 9th, 2008“I want to go UP!”
Caity seems to be fascinated with climbing up to elevated surfaces lately. And it makes me one busy and alert mom the past few days! But instead telling her “No, don’t climb.” I just keep a watchful eye at her and stay close beside her just in case.
These were yesterday’s pictures. I thought that she stepped on the big teddy which was sitting beside the sofa chair in climbing up, so M took it away. But I was wrong, she reached the chair without it.

The climbing action doesn’t end there, she tried somewhere else with success – the footboard desk!

Today, it was the plastic box…

and she even gave me a mischievous smile!

Then she was back for more action!

And was getting more adventurous!

Whew! Tough days are coming!
By the way, on Sunday Caity walked her first few steps. She was holding on to me and I slowly let go of her hand and she walked two steps towards me. I did it again, and she took three hurried steps towards me.
Yipeee! Okay moms out there, don’t give me a smug smile and tell me that your child was able to walk before he or she turned one. Children will all learn how to walk at some point in their lives.
September 6th, 2008After you left…
This post is dedicated to Auntie C:
I had fun with sitting on my new piggy stool which we bought last night on your last minute shopping spree. It even was a perfect match for my pink attire!
Then when mom wasn’t looking, I climbed up the chair using poor big teddy as my stairs.
I was almost on the top when mom noticed me. But when she saw me safely landing the chair, she quickly grabbed the camera and I took the chance to cross to the other chair.
But she was faster than me! I got caught! My plan was aborted abruptly.
What was I doing there anyway?
Well, I only wanted to know if I can reach the airplane you rode earlier if I stand on the chair this high. Can I? But I guess you’re too far away now.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your stay with us as much as I do. Here’s my happy smile to brighten your day!
love,
Caity
September 4th, 2008Having fun under the sun
Who’s this?
Awww, it’s little Caity!
We had a picnic last Saturday and Caity had a lot of fun. She enjoyed playing all by herself, exploring and discovering the stuff around her. There wasn’t any kid nearby whom she can play with, so she settled for the things we brought for the picnic.

Playing with the ice cream container

Tasting the lettuce! Look at her face!

Eating ice cream (one of her favorites)
She usually takes an afternoon nap but she was too busy playing during our picnic that she skipped it. On our way home, she quickly dozed off in the car.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz…. the baby is sleeping.

September 2nd, 2008A hug from Caity
We left Caity with her dad while my sister and I went to the restroom. When we came back, we saw Caity crawling towards a little Czech girl standing alone just outside of the restaurant. According to M, Caity has been eyeing the girl for sometime already. Once Caity was at the girl’s feet, she stood up, face to face with her and what happened next was a big surprise to us. Caity gave her a hug! It was indeed an unexpected gesture as we didn’t teach her that.
Sequence 1:

“Hi my name is Caity! Do you feel lonely here?
Sequence 2:

“Here, let me give you a hug.”
Sequence 3:

“Do you feel better now?”
Cute! I think the other girl was too overwhelmed with Caity’s love to give out any reaction. hahaha
