April 27th, 2009Eyes
The first time Caity saw the kids in the popular kiddie show singing and dancing to Mr. Sun while wearing their dark shades, she grinned widely and excitedly pointed to her eyes and said, “eyes, eyes”. She then pulled me to the drawer where I keep our sunglasses and asked me to put it on her. Since then it became her habit to wear a pair every time Mr. Sun plays (or any video where the kids use shades for that matter).

Caity seldom asks for “eyes” anymore. The novelty simply wore off but she still smiles when she sees people wearing “eyes”. One time we were out, she innocently pointed to a couple both wearing shades and exclaimed, “Eyes!”, much to their surprise.

We brought her to the Dendrological Garden where she tried eating a dried leaf, explored what’s behind the bushes, chased ducks, gathered pine cones and did a lot of other amusing things! She really enjoyed her day there and we also enjoyed watching her having fun.
